The membership year runs from 1st September to 31st August. However, since many groups have a summer recess, members joining after 1st April have membership until August of the following year.  The new card issued after 1st April is pink. That for 2012-13 was blue. Membership costs £15 for a single person and £25 for a couple. Members receive our Annual Bulletin which contains all the basic information for Bristol U3A namely groups, monthly meetings and events, and also News Sheet updates. They also receive 4 issues of the U3A News (our national magazine). The most common additional cost is for tea or coffee when it can be provided. A few groups needing specialist materials (sheet music, paints, etc) may have extra charges. You can download the form for joining here by clicking on 'Download here' at the end of this paragraph. Download here or if this gives you a problem click here for a Word form If you are a taxpayer it will help us if you will also sign the gift aid form (which you can also download above).  This allows to obtain 25 pence for every £ of your subscription from HM Revenue and Customs.    You are a taxpayer if you pay tax directly or have it deducted from your pension, interest or annuity and do not have it repaid.  Signing the form will not affect your own personal tax affairs.
